I don't know if I have written in my past blogs about me starting CLOMID....so I will just say it now. I started taking it to hopefully speed up my egg process. The first dose didn't work...plus I didn't even ovulate. Weird. So this next dose I had and I ovulated, so that's good. I hate taking the stupid ovulation test, it's kinda like a pregnancy test every day...that dissapointment sucks EVERYDAY! But I did ovulate this time. So...hopes are high! I've decided that I'm not going to be sad anymore about it. The first 2-3 months of trying was all fun and exciting and then the next couple were worry, then the next were frustration and anger, then I have just been sad about it. Mike and I had a long talk about it a couple months ago. He is so good helping me and calming me. It's just not our time to have a baby, for what reason we don't know, but it's something. We will have a baby when we are supposed to and it fits our plan. So, we are just going to make sure we do all we can to have one and leave the rest to "the plan!" :)
Remington started indoor soccer. He is so cute! His first game was last Saturday. He is so funny when he plays, kinda standing back waiting for the ball to come to him. I am always yelling "Remy, get in there!" and then he does for a second then backs up and waits. So cute.
McHailee is so adorable and has skipped from 2 years old to 15! She is very persuasive and has attitude like you wouldn't beleive. She is so cute...but definitely has her moments. Her new thing is *lifting her shirt up* "Mom, by tummy want's some food!" It's so cute. She says so many things and sings ALL the time. Her Pediatrician says she does everything at an age 3 level. That's how Remy was too. Always a year ahead on learning. I can't take too much credit for it, I'm a working mom. They learn A LOT from their sitter. She is amazing. Always has activities and puzzles and so many things. I love her!
I'm working right now...missing Mikey and my kiddies. :( My friend Emmie is prego 41 weeks prego! As bad as she want's that baby out...I hope she holds her in 1 more day since I work Saturday! :( When she told me she wanted me in the room...I was so happy. It means so much to me that she trusts me that much to be a part of probably one of the MOST important parts of a person's life. I'm so excited! *love you Em!*
Mike finally got the tickets to go get Mikey and Camden! I'm sooooooo excited. We are going to sit down and plan out their stay. All the fun things we will be doing while they are here. Can't wait!
Hmm...can't think of much else to talk about...once I end this I will probably think of something...oh well.

VD
Valentines day! I'm not one of those that hate it nor HAVE to have it. I'm neutral. Mike and I know we love eachother and know it and don't need a day to express that specifically...but we still like to use it as one! :) I've been working all day and still here. I have an hour and a half left to go! We are going to dinner and a movie. He wanted a plant for VD. So...a plant he gets! He knows he is getting it too! Let me let you in on the plant ordeal. He has this plant...for some reason he is this total plant lover...anyway, he has this plant that he had when he was with his first wife Deanna. It's never bothered me, but I LOVE to tease him about it. I'm not that kind of person...we have things that they had when they were married all over. Not a biggie to me...anyway...so this plant is what get's all the grunt of it. I really just am not big into plants and it's really not a very pretty one. So, a few weeks ago we were playing the newly wed game with some friends and a question came up that was for Mike and I had to write my answer down and he had to guess what I put. So...the question was "what is one thing in your house right now that your wife wishes you would get rid of." Knowing that I love everything Mike has...he had no idea...until he really thought about it. I thought for sure he wouldn't guess what I put. He then had to say what he thought I put down...and guess what he said? "PLANT!" So, my turn to show what I wrote, "THE EX PLANT." Is what I put down. We explained to everyone and they laughed. So, he told me for VD that all he wanted was a new one! LOL. So like I said...then a plant he shall have! :) We are going to go to Chin Wah tonight for dinner when I finally get off this dang 12 hour shift! Anthony and Erica are joining us. How sweet is it that my nephew volunteered to babysit so we could go out?? Love him!!!
So Remington's surgery! We had the pre surg consultation on Friday. He doesn't have a SUPRA UMBILICAL HERNIA like we were told before. It's actually called an EPI GASTRIC HERNIA. So instead of his intestines poking through it's his stomache. I will post what the internet says...
(I have CUT and PASTED from the online thingy... :)
It has been determined that you have an EPIGASTRIC HERNIA (photo). Because of your current symptoms and/or findings, and the potential for persistent pain or complications arising from the presence of this hernia, surgical repair has been recommended. An Epigastric Hernia occurs due to a weakness, gap or opening in the muscles or tendons of the upper abdominal wall, on a line between the breast bone and the navel or umbilicus. This results in a bulge of intra-abdominal contents and/or pain or discomfort. This pain and discomfort is the result of nerves and tissue in this area being irritated or stretched as the surrounding tissue is also stretched. If these hernias enlarge, intestine may become trapped within the hernia leading to intestinal blockage or damage (Strangulation or Incarceration). This is considered a surgical emergency.
Crazy huh? The dr told me that the only thing we have to watch for is if it get's bigger between now and surgery and if Remington starts screaming in agony and non stop severe pain!! So hopefully that does NOT happen! His surgery is scheduled for April 21st. It's crazy...they don't even tell you a time. They call you the day before to let you know when it will be that day, so I'm keeping that day wide open. They do a FREE surgery tour at Primary Childrens. So the kids get to get into scrubs and tour the O.R. and the hospital and watch a video and play with toy surgery instruments and stuff. I'm excited for that, so is Remy. They say it's routine and easy but being a mom...I'm still worried. They say the dangerous part is the anesthesia for kids. I work in a hospital and have seen bad things go wrong with anesthesia...so maybe I'm just being over worried. I know things will work out... I'm just glad we will get it taken care of before anything happens in an emergency kind of way.
So, I am supposed to start this Friday coming up (20th) I'm hoping, of course, that I don't! I looked at a due date calculator and if I am prego, according to the date of my last menstrual period I would be due OCTOBER 30th! MY BDAY! That would be the BEST bday present ever!!!
Well...better get a few last things done before I have to leave. Still about an hour and 15 before I get to leave this place!

Working weekends is such a drag! Especially Sunday's! It's just so slow. No surgery's except for emergency one's. The E.R. is usually pretty quiet too since people aren't usually out and about getting hurt and all. So...I'm just sitting here surfing the net and I have run out of things to look for and at.
So dance class Wednesday night's is so much fun. I love dancing. The dance we are learning now is pretty hard and VERY fast. The moves we do are like on half beats. So it's really fast. I'm so glad that Julie is in that class with me. I know a couple of girls there from high school but other then that I don't know anyone. But they ALL know eachother. So...it's been a little hard getting myself comfy, but the dancing is really what I want to do. I found out that the non stop dancing we do for an hour burns like 430 calories! Crazy huh? So that's nice. See...I'm so bored I don't even know what to write about...I'm talking about dancing calories!
Mike is at his parents right now celebrating his mom's bday. I wish so bad I could be there. :( I hate missing family things. He just texted me and told me he feels naked without me there. :) I love that man.
We are going to be bringing his boys here in July. He plans on leaving on the 3rd of July and bringing them back on July 4th and keeping them for 1-2 weeks. Depending on what we can do for days off. I'm pretty excited. We had so much fun last time we came but it was harder to keep them entertained all day inside the house cause it was winter. This time with summer we can do ton's more outdoor things. Like swimming and hiking and the park and stuff. I want to take them to the zoo and maybe even to lagoon. I just want to do so much with them. I never thought myself to be a step mom, but I really think it's cool. All I want is for them to like me. :) Mike's ex wife Deanna told me that If she could pick a step mom for her boys it would be me...so that made me feel good. Mike misses them so much every day. I can't imagine what any person goes through when they can't see their kids very much. I can't wait for the day they are both over the age of 8 and they can fly here with connecting flights on there own. We will see them much more often then. It's pretty pricey to go there or have Mike go get them and bring them back. Remington is WAY excited. He always talks about his step brothers. And McHailee was so little last time they were here...but we have pics of them and she knows which one is Mikey and which one is Camden. And she talks to them on the phone so it's cute. When Remington prays at night, he usually says "and please let my step brothers Mikey and Camden come to see us" or "please bless Mikey and Camden that they are sleeping good". It's so cute. Hopefully by then we will have a car that seat's enough. Last time they were here my Emmie and Dave let us borrow their NEW truck! Now that is friendship and trust! I love you guys!
Emmie's baby shower went great! Everything turned out better then I thought it would. I always get so nervous. She loved it though. And way more people showed up then she thought would, that's always nice. She got all kinds of stuff for MaryJane. SO CUTE!
Anyway...guess I better go tidy up the pharmacy...I'm off at 7:00 ish...only one more stinkin' hour. Then back tomorrow at 7 am. YEAH! :)

So when Reminton was about a year and a half old I had to take him to the hospital for him violantly throwing up for 3 days and not getting better. They did an x-ray of his belly because when the ER doc felt his belly he said it felt bloated...too bloated. So the x-ray showed a bunch of bubbles in his tummy and diagnosed it and treated it with medicine and he was better a day later. BUT...they also found in the x-ray a "supra umbilicle hernia." The dr said it's normal, especially in boys. He said it should just go away but if it doesn't by the age of 2 then I should get it checked again. Well, when he was 2 I checked it as best I could but I didn't feel anything and he never complained of tummy pain or anything so I left it alone. When he was getting ready to go to kindergarten he had a check up that they require. Remington's pediatrician was feeling his tummy...just checking him out...and found the hernia. It had not gone away. The Dr said that usually they go away by 2 but it doesn't seem to be bothering him or hurting him so let's give it more time to go away. So I had no concern. Then he told me that the only time to be concerned is if it's poking out when he is standing or sitting normal. I guess I need to explain how you could see it then. Ok...so you know when you are laying down and when you go to sit up your belly muscles flex? Well...when Remington would lay down he looked normal, but when sitting up while using his belly muscles, he would have this little bump poke out just above his belly button. Now that little bump is poking out with out flexing. So...time to be concerned. I called and they told me to bring him in. I made an appt for him Tuesday. I have a feeling we will be doing an x-ray. Remington heard me talking to the dr about surgery and he started freaking out. I explained to him that this dr appt is to see what we need to do. I told him IF he had to have surgery we would talk about it and I promised him he would be ok. He seemed to be ok and hasn't mentioned it since. I figure if he does have to go to surgery, I will take him to Primary childrens. They have like a class you can take your child to before surgery so they can learn all about it and play with all the things they will use and stuff like that. Meet the Dr and learn stuff. I'm hoping he won't need it, but I'd also rather get it out now then have it cause problems later. So I will keep you updated on that.
So, still no baby yet. I started taking CLOMID. It's a fertility pill. I'm taking the lowest dose...just to see how it works. I also have to test my ovulation. I am ovulating...so thats a good sign. Hopefully this will help the process out. It's weird to think that if we would have gotten pregnant back when we started trying...I could have a new born by now! :) But I know things will happen when they should.
I am throwing Emmie a shower this Saturday. I'm so excited! Chocolate fountains and PINK stuff! YEAH! I got her the cutest stuff for a present. Shopping for girls is so fun...but it gets scary cause you ALWAYS want to buy stuff. When I'm at the store I always seem to want to get McHailee clothes and shoes more then Remington. With Remington it's always like games and stuff cause that's what we do together.
I've been thinking that with this next baby...I want to keep the sex of the baby secret. Like I don't want to know. Cause I have both boys and a girl...so...it might be kinda fun. Although, if it's a boy, I'm kinda screwed. I have NO boy things. I kept nothing of Remingtons... #1 because I never wanted any more kids and #2 cause I had no way of taking all his stuff anyway with all the moving I did. My mother in law says she thinks that if it is a boy, I should have a shower. But I'd feel kinda stupid. People thinking..."umm...she already has kids, why is she having a shower??" I just don't want people to think they have to buy stuff for me after I have kids. I don't know...ya know? I guess we will see how things go.
I will write more later. I'm pretty proud of myself for writing 2 days in a row! :)

slacker
Yep....that's me. SLACKER! I seem to say that every time I write on here...cause I never write on here! All my friends are so good about getting on and writing. Me...not so much. Which is probably why I have 3 or 4 journals that start out with me writing religiously for a week...then I skip a couple days, then it's like a few weeks, then nothing. I've got to work on that!
I started a diet a week and 2 days ago. Lost 6 lbs in the first week. I basically just have to keep myself at 1200 calories or less per day and keep it healthy by eating 6 times a day. Which means small portions. Did I say small? Yes small. It's not as hard as I thought it would be. I'm really not a snacky person during the day. I get pretty busy so it's easy to not snack. It's at night when Mikey and I are snuggled watching movies...that's when the snacky feeling comes up! Luckily, Mikey is the one who started the diet thing. He is actually doing NUTRISYSTEM. They send him food and all the rules about his eating and exercising. He is doing so good. So far in 2 weeks he has lost 10 lbs. But I can see his weight loss already. And his clothes are fitting looser. I'm very proud of him! So I will TRY to keep up to date on this thing to let you all know of my progress.
Dang it...got busy at work. Have to write again tomorrow! :)

2009!
What a way to start the new year...a University Of Utah Football 13 and 0 winning streak! Wow! The bowl game was amazing. We had a party at our house and it was totally worth it. I cannot beleive how amazing it all was. I cannot wait for the new season to start already...we got our season tickets a month ago!
So Christmas was so much fun. Our family gift from Santa was a Wii fit. So ya know how on the wii you get to make your wii person? Well, I guess I was a little too generous on how "big" I made mine. The wii fit takes your height and weight and makes it the "real" you. Mine happened to get bigger...sad huh? lol. It also told me I was over weight...only by like 8 lbs or something, but that's still sucky. I know I need to lose some weight...but man...to hear it from a game? That's rough! I'm starting a dance class with Julie on Wed nights starting this wed. So that will help. I think I gained 5 or so lbs this holiday season. Dang all that delicious food. The kids had such a good Christmas. They were so cute. McHailee got sick Christmas Eve and was very sick Christmas day and the day after. But she still posed for pics and tried to be a good sport. Her big gift was a 4 wheeler power wheel thing. She wouldn't get off of it. Remington's was a computer that plugs into the T.V. He loves it. It has a mouse and a keyboard and everything. Mike got a really nice paintball gun, new skis, and lot's of U of U stuff. And other things too. I loved my Christmas. Mike tends to spoil me when it's present giving time! :) He is adorable! Our family Christmas Eve party was a blast. I love Mike's family. They are all so cute and loving. We had my family over on Christmas day. We do a family breakfast. Wow do I have a lot of neices and nephews! So that was Christmas...
Mike and I got to go to Kanab again this year for his work. He had to do an inventory count check at Stampin Up. It was fun...but very tiring. 2 days of just driving. There and back. But the hotel we stay in is so cute and has an amazing breakfast. We stopped in Cedar City on the way home and planned to be there only an hour...ended up being 4. Mike had to stop there to do a check at an apartment complex...one hour turned to 4. It was rought trying to find things to do with a 6 year old and 2 year old for 4 hours. But we made it through. We got home around 7:30 and had people showing up at our house for New Years Eve around 8. We had so many snacks and junk food! (maybe that's where most the lbs came from.) :) We played games and just hung out all night. At midnight I got to kiss the love of my life! :) I love starting the new year with him every year! Then we did some illegal fireworks! That was so fun. McHailee was asleep...I'm surprised it didn't wake her up. We were pretty loud.
Mike and I also went to Solitude for him to ski and me to snowboard. I had so much fun. We bought a ten time pass and used 5 runs on one day and the other 5 runs this last Saturday. I'm still recovering from the time 2 days ago. Mike decided to take me on the blue runs. I have only been on the greenie runs. But I did it and it was fun. I fell quite a bit but not like I did the week before. My calves get so tired. The burn!! the burn!! lol. But I was really getting the hang of it. Mike is so funny. He skiis pretty good. He does jumps and everything. But all done for the year, now Mike is gone for about 4 months. Bye baby! :*( Well...let me explain...he isn't like going anywhere...but January to the end of April it's like I'm a single woman. (but still taken lol) As an auditor/accountant at a public accounting firm they have whats called a "busy season" and by busy I mean Monday through Saturday 12-14 hour work days for 4 months. And if you think that is bad...he also still has school. So this morning I texted him and told him I loved him and see him in a few months. :) He laughed. So...to all my friends...it's girls nights for 4 months. lol. :)
Wow I have had a lot to say huh? I need to post more often...like I always say.!

Me...catching up on posting again...
Yep, it's been a month since I posted yet again. I am terrible at this. So I figured I'd give another update of what's been going on. :)
I got my results back from my Dr. I got very impatient so I called and they finally had my results in. I talked to my Dr. directly. He told me that the cells came back normal! I was shocked...and apparantly so was he. With the last 2 showing at the stages they were. He and I were both sure it would have either been the same or advanced to me needing another procedure. But I'm definitely not questioning it. This was the first time it's been normal since before I had McHailee! So for now I'm happy knowing I'm living pre-cancer or cancer free! :) YEAH!
Nothing really big has happened. Just working tons and getting ready for Christmas. We had a christmas party with a bunch of our friends on Friday night. It was so much fun. We just decided that instead of everyone trying to scrape together money to buy us something and us buy them something, we should all just get together and celebrate for a night. Saved all of us a lot of money. I just figure, Mike and I really don't want presents from our friends, they need the money for their families and others. I got the idea from Erica. Her and Tony and Mike and I decided not to get anything for eachother, that we would just go to dinner or something...that's when I thought of the get together instead of anyone having to buy us a present. I think having everyone over was the best present yet! :)
I have been very emotional lately. (not that it's different from how I normally am...I'm kind of a crier like my grandma Iris) I don't know if it's the not being able to get pregnant or not. I know it's supposed to happen when it's supposed to happen. It's just so disappointing every month when I find that I'm not. It's crazy how I didn't want any more kids and now all I think about is having another baby. 6 months of trying and nothing. This is month 7. I never thought I would be that girl that tries that long. Trying for McHailee was 3 months. And with Remington it was obviously quick... :). Anyway, I'll keep you updated on that.
Can I just tell you how amazing my husband is? How is it that I got so lucky? Have you ever seen a movie, and there's a guy in it that always says the right thing and is super romantic, always always makes you laugh, makes sure you KNOW that you are beautiful and are his only love and always will be, and you never EVER have to worry about anything with him? Or when that song comes on the radio and it's a male singer that is singing about a woman or telling a love story about a woman he loves and cherish's? And all you think is "wow I wish a guy would be like that with me!" Or "How come I can't find a guy like that?" And then everyone tells you that guys like that don't exist...that life isn't a movie or a fairy tale? I was that girl 4 and a half years ago. Then my Mikey came into my life and changed everything I ever thought about anything. I can be in old baggy jammies and a t-shirt, no makeup, hair all frazzled, and any other little not so cute moment...and all I hear from Mike is how lucky he is that I am his wife and he get's to look at my beautiful face forever and ever. We will just be snuggling on the couch and he will just squeeze me really tight out of nowhere and sigh...I will be like "what?" And he gives me that look. He looks me right in the eye and tells me "I just love you so much. You are so perfect for me, how did I get so lucky that you are my wife?" I just melt. He is so romantic and thoughtful. He always ALWAYS opens my door. Usually stuff like that fades ya know? And I love how nice he is to EVERYONE. I honestly don't think he has 1 enemy. When we go anywhere he is always the one to get a crowd laughing. If I ever go anywhere withough him people ask me where Mike is and say that they are sad he didn't come cause they love just being around him. He is just so amazing and I am the lucky one! Anyway, just had to rant about that for a second! :)
Well, back to work. I will write more soon when I figure out what else to write about! Maybe even later today, it's super slow at work today. Sunday's are like that.
